Concentrations

Every communications student at Lindenwood University is required to take core courses which make up 36 credit hours of your bachelor of arts degree. These courses will teach you the basics of the communications field. You will learn reporting, radio production, video production, writing for electronic media, communications law and theory, ethics, and more. Once you have mastered these skills, which are critical to your success, other courses are incorporated, including broadcast, media management, sales, and sports information.

The journalism program at Lindenwood University is extremely hands-on and experiential. Develop your real-world approach with the bachelor’s degree in journalism and mass communication. In this degree in mass communication and journalism, you will study in a classroom and gain applied experience through Lindenwood’s multimedia outlets. Build out your expertise in key aspects of media communications, such as social media, strategic communications and mass media.
